Ryan’s first thirty years read as a study in excellence. Drop out of Harvard? Check. Go back after you sold your company to finish off your MBA? Check. Singularity University? Check. Best selling author? Check. Co-Founder and CEO of a high tech company that sold for $170 million? Check. Somewhat famous, 1284 slide presentation summarizing everything you learned in the 30 years it took to get there? Yup.

But now that the preliminaries are out of the way, Ryan has been able to focus on his real passion: creating the collective intelligence and consciousness evolution necessary to change the world. After a journey into personal development and a conversation with some indigenous plant medicines, he turned his prodigious energies towards a new project called Hive.

Hive is a global network of leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, artists, healers, and philanthropists who are actively working on creating a better world and solving humanity’s greatest challenges (clean energy, solar lighting, clean water, oncology, genetics, wellness, medical diagnostics, communication technology, last-mile logistics, etc.).

As a life-long polymath, Ryan has directed the Hive to take a comprehensive approach to collective intelligence. It includes an online matching system to make sure the right people are connecting with each other, and now is building a global network of physical coliving/coworking facilities. It consists of curated events combining people, place and context to maximize intelligence and deep dives into the science and practices of achieving the states of mind, consciousness and body associated with optimal capability.

This is a big project adequate to Ryan’s remarkable aspirations.
